The happiest time of the year…

ASD Recap

We have returned from the ASD Show in Las Vegas, and are officially back in the groove. The trade show was an amazing experience…hall after hall of items for sale. We couldn’t believe how large it was! Whether you were looking for bongs, toys or furniture, you could find it at the ASD show. Although the show may have not been the right fit for us, we did manage to sell some product, catch up with our colleagues from Japan, and squeeze in some fun.

How the other half live…

Since this blog began, I have been very focused on PLUS stationery and craft supplies and the amazing things you can do with them. I thought I would take a minute today to talk about the other half of PLUS…electronic copyboards.

Great Tool

So I have recently subscribed to the blog of Jennifer McGuire (JenniferMcGuireInk.com) and she posted this fabulous card which got me intrigued. I have experimented with watercolors, acrylics, Distrss Ink…you name it, but I loved the look of this card and needed to find out more. My search led me to a fantastic, informative video by Tim Holtz, talking about his Distress Markers. If don’t know about these great new tools, or if you have looked at them countless times, but have been too intimidated to try them, I urge you to watch this video (link is too the right). They could not be easier to use and will add so much interest to your projects!

Successful CHA Tradeshow

We had a great time at the Craft and Hobby Association (CHA) Tradeshow! We met a lot of fun, creative people, spent some time with our friends from the Tokyo headquarters, andmost imprtantly, created some buzz about our new craft line. Top sellers? I’d say it was a toss-up between the Decoration Rollers and the PLUS Adhesive Power-Pack. What is the PLUS Adhesive Power-Pack you ask? Our New Blog

Since the PLUS Corporation of America blog is just starting out, many of you may not be familiar with the company and it’s history. I know, I know, you hear the word “History” and you think back to 6th period, middle school, but don’t worry, it is actually quite interesting.

Established in 1948, PLUS Corporation is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. During this remarkable sixty-year history, PLUS Corporation has grown by leaps and bounds, becoming one of the top manufacturers in the office supply industry.

In 1980, PLUS expanded to the U.S. and PLUS Corporation of America was born. Through the years PLUS Corporation of America has focused on selling projectors, electronic copyboards, and, more recently, innovative stationery and craft supplies.

Although there have been many changes along the way, what I find fascinating about PLUS is that we never stop thinking…we are always challenging ourselves to out-do…well ourselves. Here is an example, when one thinks of a stapler, ok, let’s be honest, no one really ever thinks about a stapler, but PLUS does! PLUS has created large staplers, small staplers, pink staplers, green staplers and even stapleless staplers! They have also taken those staplers one step further. The “assisted link mechanism” they put in their palm size stapler is a powerhouse! You won’t believe what these little guys can do.

From Kes’pon Guard Your ID products to copyboards with network-saving and smart-phone capabilities, PLUS is always coming up with something new. And you should see the incredible craft items we are launching! I guess what I am trying to say in my own long-winded kind of way, is keep checking back… PLUS Corporation of America is one to watch.
